五子登科 Pursuit of Material Satisfaction

    作者以頂級老坑玻璃種翡翠來創作，一株迎客松蜿蜒立於山壁之上，巧妙將玉石原有的白色部分設計為老松樹的樹皮剝落的枝幹，突顯出如意的造型；一隻迷你仙鶴翱翔於松樹頂端的枝葉上，松、鶴兩相呼應，有祝賀長壽之意。作品前方可見一株純白透淨的梅花生於石縫之中，石壁上亦有一片茂盛竹林生長於上，松竹梅皆是以生命力頑強而得名「歲寒三友」，象徵君子品格高潔。梅的前方有一小綠仙人與山頂上方的仙人相呼應，有的賞梅、有的賞松、有的沉思，彷彿引人置身於此仙境之中，也寄寓人生所求，祈如仙人般清明淡泊與瀟灑的心性，因此命名為「五子登科」，作品從用料到設計，不惜成本、別出心裁，可說是從古至今的精品代表作之一。

The designer used the finest jadeite to create this work. With a welcome-guest pine tree winding on the mountain wall, the original white part of the jade is cleverly designed as the bark of an old pine tree peeling off its branches, highlighting a symbol of power and good fortune. A miniature crane soars into the top branch of the pine tree. The coordination of pine and crane congratulates longevity. A pure white plum blossom can be seen in the foreground, and a lush bamboo forest grows on the stone wall. Pine, bamboo, and plum are named " The Three Friends of the winter", which has the ability to survive adversity and embrace the revitalization that comes with the New Year and spring, symbolizing the high character of a gentleman. A small green celestial being in front of the plum echoes the other one on the top of the mountain. Some immortals admired the plum and the pine, and some were meditating, as if to attract people to be in this fairyland, and to pray for a clear and relaxed mind. This is why it is named Pursuit of Material Satisfaction. From the materials and elements used to the design, no expense is spared. This work is one of the finest masterpieces from ancient times to the present day.
